Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered in a search tool is sent to the third-party provider operating that tool. The provider processes the input and supplies its results. We do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
When you email us, we retain the message as needed to answer it. We do not disclose that correspondence outside our organization unless the law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers may receive ordinary technical details when a page loads:
- Device IP address
- Browser type and version
- Operating system and device category
- Pages viewed and time spent
- Referring website, when available
- Date and time of each request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored on a device. We and analytics services may use them to understand aggregate traffic, popular pages, and where visits end. A browser can block cookies, although some functions may then behave differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Operate, maintain, and improve website performance
- Route a search request to the selected partner service
- Measure which resources visitors use
- Detect and correct technical problems
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Franklin County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case records. It publishes general directions to the County Clerk, District Clerk, local courts, and Texas search resources. Visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports, and this private website is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search tools displayed on content pages. Information entered there is governed by the provider's privacy policy, retention rules, and sharing practices rather than this policy. Review those terms before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Franklin County clerk pages, Texas court portals, legal resources, or outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves this website, the destination's policy controls. Read it before sharing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. We do not control that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
- Search providers processing a query you submit
- Analytics vendors measuring site traffic and performance
- Advertising networks placing ads
- Government or law-enforcement bodies responding to a valid legal requirement
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards protect information under our control. No internet system is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or another security incident will never occur.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under eighteen. If we learn that a minor provided such information, we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Rights vary with applicable law and the visitor's location. You may ask to review personal information we hold, correct an error, request deletion, or object to certain processing where the governing law provides that choice. The Texas Public Information Act governs access to many Texas governmental records, not the private visitor data held by this website. Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12 addresses judicial records and likewise is not a general consumer privacy statute.
- Request access to personal data we maintain about you
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Seek deletion where applicable law allows it
- Opt out of eligible forms of processing
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this policy as practices or legal obligations change. The new text becomes available on this page and carries an updated effective date.
