Why We Built This Site
Public access is useful only when a request reaches the right custodian. Franklin County's County Clerk maintains stated County Court probate, civil, and Class A or B misdemeanor records. The District Clerk handles district felony, civil, family, juvenile, and related files. Justice Court and each municipal court keep their own lower-court cases. The date-based county docket archives and Texas re:SearchTX provide other access layers, but neither replaces the clerk holding the original file. We bring these routes, local distinctions, and request details together in a clearer reference.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket references: ways to search criminal court dockets and civil court dockets in Franklin County
- Dates and settings: help reading the court schedule and confirming a hearing
- Case locating: steps for a docket search by name, cause number, court, or date
- Copies: routes for requesting court case records, certification, and clerk-held documents
What We Cannot Do
Franklin County Court Docket is privately operated and has no connection with a Texas court, clerk, county office, or state agency. As a result, we cannot:
- Retrieve an official docket sheet or case file for a visitor
- Set, move, cancel, or confirm a court date
- Seal, remove, correct, or amend a court record
- Issue a certified copy, judgment, order, or other official paper
- Offer legal advice about a pending or completed matter
- Promise that a fee, office hour, contact, or setting remains current
An official or certified record must come from the clerk or court that maintains the case. We can identify the likely Franklin County route, but only that custodian can produce and authenticate the document.
